The T2 parasol range is distinguished by its double tilt system. The parasol canopy can be tilted forward and backward (like most other Platinum parasols), in addition to step-less sideways, without any movement of the base. The canopy position can be secured at any angle by locking the easy-to-use lever. The parasol can be moved around 360-degrees in a smooth and easy action, guaranteeing shade wherever you need it.
The parasol mechanism is made from durable stainless steel and encased in a strong, powder-coated aluminium housing, which prevents rust and corrosion. The durability and strength of this parasol is further enhanced by its robust, 86x53mm powder-coated aluminium pole, which is finished in anthracite grey.
The tension springs on the ribs keeps the canopy fit tight which has multiple benefits. A taut canopy keeps the parasol stable as it catches less wind, which reduces the risk of the parasol toppling over or flapping around, which can be both annoying and potentially damaging to the parasol itself. It also means the canopy is less susceptible to wear and tear, ensures proper water run-off (no pooling), and looks better: because no one wants a saggy parasol!
The 3.5×2.6m rectangular parasol canopy, in stylish anthracite grey, is made from strong 300g/m2 polyester which has a durable water resistant (DWR) coating to repel water, and is dirt-resistant. This parasol’s canopy provides a good level – UPF 30+ (up to 96%) – of protection from UV rays, and has a good level of colour fastness: the fabric will retain its colour for 160+ days.
